Texas based designer, Julie Simms Hayes, found her love for interior design in a circuitous way. After attending Vanderbilt University, Julie began her post-graduate career in the financial sector. While skilled at math and effortless at crunching numbers, Julie quickly discovered that a desk job wasn't filling her creative cup. Yearning to work in an industry of art, design, and architecture, Julie realized that a career in interior design would allow her to use her natural talents. With her knack for drawing and her keen ability to listen and facilitate clients' goals Julie launched Simms Hayes Design. Most impressive is Julie's philosophy of treating each project as a personal expression of her client. She does this through the study of space, attention to detail and her bold and brave use of color. This is perhaps what singles her out as one of the country's premier interior designers.
